Everyone has its own sea, even Vojvodina. Considering that the Pannonian sea stretched about 30 million years ago at the site of today’s Vojvodina and that today’s Vojvodina traversed by numerous waterways that connect the east and west, we would like to draw the attention of our potential clients that our law firm has full capacity and is ready to respond to this type of legal challenges.

Rivers have always been particularly significant in economic terms. From the ancient times rivers represented an immportant condition for the existence of man in regard to hunting and fishing while rivers’ valleys served as the main migration directions facilitating the transfer of one civilization from one to another area. Today, rivers are one of the main roads when it comes to transporting goods. Transportation of people and goods by ships and waterways are legally regulated area.

There are three laws that regulate water traffic and navigation safety:

  1. Law on navigation and inland waters
  2. Law on state affiliation and registration of vessels
  3. Law on maritime navigation

Our experience in the field of maritime and inland navigation relates to the application of law in the field of privatization and sale of the shipyards, everyday business activities within the shipyard, safe navigation, port operations, as well as various cases of damages due to damage to a vessel. This area is the responsibility of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Serbia which is also in charge of regulation of the sector of road transport, roads and traffic safety, railway sector and the sector of air traffic.
